HOUSE RULES

1. Preamble

These House Rules govern the use of the venue. They apply to GENUSSWELTEN on 12–14 June and 16–18 October 2026 at Palais Auersperg, Auerspergstraße 1, 1080 Vienna, organised by SIIKEI GmbH.

These House Rules are clearly displayed at all entrances. Separate rules may apply to individual areas and will be clearly displayed in or in front of those areas.
By entering the event venue, visitors expressly acknowledge that, in connection with the contractual or pre-contractual obligations arising from their attendance, the personal data they provide or that is collected about them or on their behalf, in addition to other contractual data, may be processed by the organiser. This includes, in particular, images and photographs created through video surveillance or event documentation. The organiser is the data controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the image-processing provisions of Sections 12 et seq. of the Austrian Data Protection Act 2018. The organiser and its partners and sponsors may use and publish this data, including without compensation. Visitors are referred to the organiser’s privacy policy at www.genusswelten.at, which they expressly acknowledge. By entering the venue or purchasing a ticket, visitors accept the organiser’s following General Terms and Conditions.
Visitors enter the event at their own risk. By purchasing a ticket, visitors agree to indemnify and hold the organiser harmless, except where the organiser has acted with gross negligence.

2. The Event

If there is a risk to life or health, the event will be cancelled immediately. If the event is cancelled for this or any other reason, such as force majeure, an official order or a court decision, no claim for damages shall arise.
The organiser may cancel an event in advance for good cause, force majeure (for example, severe weather), an official order or insufficient registrations. Only if the event is cancelled in full will the admission price already paid be refunded, excluding advance booking fees. No claims for damages may be made if an event is cancelled. The organiser may relocate events and/or offer an alternative date.

The organiser is free to determine how performances are presented, including their musical direction and programme. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to any programme or individual acts announced in advance.
Distributing third-party advertising materials, giveaways, posters, leaflets or flyers is prohibited. Violations may be pursued under competition law. Animals are not permitted at the event venue.
Every visitor must carry valid, officially recognised photo identification. Visitors are responsible for checking the event’s age restrictions. Purchasing a ticket does not automatically guarantee admission.
Admission and age restrictions are governed by the Youth Protection Act of Vienna. For each event, the organiser reserves the right to set a minimum age higher than the requirements of local youth protection regulations.

3. Tickets

When a ticket is purchased, the ticket purchaser and SIIKEI GmbH enter into a contract.
Reselling an admission ticket for commercial purposes is prohibited. Tickets may not be resold privately for more than the printed ticket price plus documented fees. Using tickets for raffles or other competitions is also prohibited without the organiser’s prior express written consent. A violation will result in the right of admission being forfeited without compensation. Lost tickets will not be replaced.

4. Security Checks and Admission

The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone, even if they hold a valid ticket or reservation, and to exercise its right to determine who may enter the venue. In such cases, the ticket price will not be refunded.

Admission may be refused for reasons including:
- appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- carrying dangerous objects
- behaving aggressively, violently or abusively

Weapons, pepper spray, pyrotechnic articles and similar objects, as well as narcotics, are prohibited and may be reported to the authorities.
Bringing food and/or drinks into the venue is not permitted.
Security staff may search bags when visitors enter the venue. Large bags and backpacks are not permitted.

5. Conduct at the Event Venue

Everyone entering the venue must behave in a way that does not harm or endanger others, or obstruct or disturb them beyond what is unavoidable in the circumstances.
Everyone entering the venue must follow the instructions of the organiser, security staff, the police, fire brigade and emergency services, as well as announcements made over the public-address system. Anyone who wilfully or negligently fails to follow these instructions or breaches these House Rules may be removed from the venue by security staff or the police.
All entrances and exits, as well as emergency, escape and rescue routes, must be kept clear. Further instructions or orders may be issued as needed to prevent or address risks to life, health or property. Instructions issued for this purpose by security staff or the police must be followed.
Waste, packaging and empty containers must be placed in the bins provided at the venue; cigarettes must be disposed of in the designated ashtrays. Reusable cups may be returned at any catering stand for a refund of the deposit paid. Cleaning staff are available to keep the indoor and outdoor areas of the venue clean.
In an emergency or in the event of a fire, follow the instructions of security staff.

6. Accessibility and Mobility for People with Reduced Mobility

Palais Auersperg is a historic building and, unfortunately, is not wheelchair accessible. The GENUSSWELTEN event spaces are located on the first floor and can only be reached via stairs. There is no passenger lift.

We sincerely regret that this means a visit is not fully accessible for wheelchair users and people with severe mobility impairments, and we ask for your understanding.

7. Recording Devices and Data Protection

Unless the organiser has given written permission (by letter, fax or email), anyone entering the venue may make and/or transmit audio or video recordings or descriptions of the venue, performances they have seen or the event as a whole only for private use. Transmitting any audio, video or descriptions of the event or specific performances, in whole or in part, via the internet, radio, television or any other current or future medium is strictly prohibited. Assisting anyone else in these activities is also prohibited.
If commercial use of audio or video recordings or descriptions made during the event (including outside opening hours) is suspected, visitors must destroy the recorded material or hand it over to the organiser and remove any equipment used from the venue. Anyone who refuses to destroy or hand over the material, or to store their equipment outside the venue, will be removed from the venue.
Photos and videos will be taken during the event. By purchasing a ticket, visitors expressly consent to being photographed or filmed and to the resulting images and footage being published by broadcasters, on online platforms, and in print and digital media. The recordings may also be used for the organiser’s own promotional purposes. Consent may be withdrawn in writing at any time. Visitors may not bring claims against the organiser in relation to material already published.
Using audio or video recordings for commercial purposes without the organiser’s prior written consent is prohibited. A contractual penalty of EUR 3,500 is payable for each violation. The organiser reserves the right to claim additional damages.

8. Safekeeping of Personal Belongings

Items may be left for safekeeping only at designated facilities, such as the cloakroom or lockable lockers. Leaving items elsewhere, for example hidden somewhere at the venue or behind a bar or on a stage, does not create a safekeeping agreement, and the organiser accepts no liability for them.

9. Music and Noise Levels

Background music will be played during the event at levels within the statutory limits. Anyone who is particularly sensitive to certain sounds or loud music is advised not to attend or to ask the organiser about suitable hearing protection. Visitors are welcome to bring their own hearing protection. The organiser accepts no liability for hearing damage.

Exhibitors may not take, or have others take, films, photographs, drawings or other images of another exhibitor’s exhibits, displayed goods or images outside their own stand.

The organiser accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage to goods brought in or left behind by exhibitors or third parties, particularly exhibition and stand equipment. The organiser is not required to take out any insurance. The organiser also accepts no liability for vehicles exhibitors park on site. Exhibitors are liable for any personal injury or property damage caused by them, their employees or their exhibits, and must indemnify and hold the organiser harmless. The organiser accepts no liability for financial loss, injury or any other damage suffered by an exhibitor, their employees or third parties in connection with the preparation, running or handling of the event, for any reason. The organiser is not liable for loss of profit.

10. Liability

By entering the venue, every visitor expressly accepts these House Rules and undertakes to comply with them, in particular to follow the instructions of the organiser and its staff, especially security personnel. Any objections must be submitted in writing to the organiser’s management in a timely manner. A letter sent by post satisfies this written-form requirement. Email or fax does not satisfy it unless the recipient expressly agrees to the same form of communication. These House Rules remain in effect until the last visitor has left the venue.

Anyone entering the venue is liable to the organiser, the owner of the venue or the owner of any damaged item for damage, destruction or serious or repulsive soiling of the venue, its ancillary areas or any items there, caused by them or by anyone for whom they are responsible.

Anyone entering the venue acknowledges that they do so at their own risk, both inside the venue and in its surroundings. The organiser and other relevant persons or bodies may not be held responsible for risks, dangers or losses incurred, including personal injury, damage to or loss of private property, or other incidents resulting from attendance at the event, whether they occur before, during or after the visit. This does not apply to incidents caused by the organiser’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

All accidents or damage must be reported to the organiser without delay, even if the visitor is responsible for remedying the damage:

11. Miscellaneous

These House Rules are governed exclusively by Austrian law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

If one or more provisions are or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions will not be affected.

The organiser may amend, supplement or modify these House Rules at any time without giving reasons. Any revised House Rules take effect when published or posted at or in front of the venue and are expressly acknowledged by visitors.
